What a lovely morning we had at Abbey Lea Care Home in Barlby this week! We hosted our Easter coffee morning which was a really enjoyable few hours with a lovely spread of Easter treats courtesy of our wonderful cooks. We also had a very welcome guest in the form of Remi the puppy, who came along with his owner and brought lots of furry cuddles!
A big thank you to everyone who came along and supported our Easter raffle. All proceeds go directly into our residents’ fund, which pays for arts and crafts, seasonal decorations and those little extras that make such a difference to daily life in our homes.
Special thanks to our housekeeper Zoe, who organises these coffee mornings at Abbey Lea and always takes the time to add lovely seasonal touches and decorations, and said, “It is always a pleasure to invite people into Abbey Lea to experience our lovely atmosphere and enjoy some time with our wonderful residents. Raising money for our residents’ funds is an ongoing goal and we really appreciate the Barlby and Selby community for supporting us.”

We hold coffee mornings every month at our homes and they are open to everyone. Whether you are a family member, someone thinking about care for a loved one, or simply a friendly face from the local community, you are always welcome. It is a relaxed morning spent in good company, cups of tea and delicious treats!
We share details of upcoming coffee mornings on our social media pages in advance so follow us to stay in the loop. We would love to see you there!
